Inhalation Treatments
Inhalation healing
Treatable diseases: sinusitis, rhinitis, otitis, tubal, pharyngitis, laryngitis, bronchitis. Methodology: Using different techniques, with inhalation treatments can be introduced into the upper airways and in the respiratory system both the thermal water divided in fine particles, and the gas contained therein, or the salt sea water with trace elements that contains.
The devices for inhalation therapy are based on a fundamental principle: the chipping in water drops by compressed air or steam under pressure. During the first days of treatment the sulphurous waters and salt waters, from both the upper and lower respiratory tract, may initially lead to transient congestion of the mucosa with increased flow of mucous or mucopurulent secretions and a slight cough, which may cause local irritation. Only after there is an improvement of local conditions and then of the symptoms to refer to the anti catarrhal, anti-inflammatory and antiseptic action; helping the local microcirculatio, there is also an improvement of mucosa conditions.
Inhalation
Treatable diseases: chronic diseases of the nose, throat, bronchial tubes. Methodology: The inhalation are with single direct, warm and humid jet. The starting jet, bumping against the filter coil, loses the biggest water particles and decreases of temperature. At the exit nozzle results a thick mist of water particles to a temperature of about 38°. The biggest particles are deposited on the mucous membranes of the nasopharynx and larynx, causing an action of cleansing and stimulating the mucous membranes of the upper airways: the same ways receiving the maximum damage by the inhalation of dust and smog, smoke , cold air and by the inhaled microbes. Run mode: The patient stands with his mouth open at the same level of the jet at a distance of about 20-25 cm.
Aerosol
Treatable diseases: chronic diseases of the upper and lower airway diseases and especially of the paranasal sinuses, pharynx, larynx, trachea and bronchial tube. Methodology: Such as in the inhalation, in the aerosol too the sea water or sulfuric water is transformed into a dense mist whose particles have a size of 2-4 microns under pressure and through a tube come out at a temperature of 2830 ° C, the patient is placed in front of it and inhales the dense fog through the use of nasal prong or mask nose-mouth.
Humage
Treatable diseases: chronic diseases of the nose, throat and bronchial tube. Methodology: The humage is a care with relatively dry gas, made with single devices that allow to inhale sulphide hydrogen, stilfurea water basic principle, that is obtained by bubbling and liberation of the sulfide hydrogen. According to the doctor, the care can be performed through nose and / or oral way. The humage gas reachs all districts of the airways, both upper and lower, so it is suitable and necessary in each disease attributable to spa. However, since the gas is hot and in some cases could cause a slight irritation, would be appropriate that this treatment is never the last in the daily cycle.
Sonic aerosol
Treatable diseases: Rhinosinusitis and aid in the treatment of catarrhal media otitis, BPCO, chronical bronchitis and bronchiectasis. Methodology: It is distinguished by normal aerosols for important changes that make this type of care much more specyfic. The feature is the light positive pressure stamped on aerosol particles. At regular intervals, the particles are subjected to vibration by a stream of sound waves at a frequency of 100 Hz, thus increasing the capacity of the thermal gas to reach the sinus cavities and middle ear, and thanks to the special micronization of droplets of spa waters both sulphurous and salt-iodine, as far as the smallest lung alveolos, scientifically proven ability, with performed experiences using radioactive isotopes.
Shower Micronized
Treatable diseases: it is a new type of inhalation treatment, particularly suitable for all chronical catarrh problems of the nose and throat (sinusitis, rhinitis, otitis and tubal as well). Methodology: The drops of water have a higher volume than the traditional aerosol and they are driven under pressure directly into the nostrils: this copious flow cause an instant fluidication of the catarrhal secretions, both in the nasal and in the throat. To allow the washing and cleaning of the catarrh also from the middle ear, it is necessary to close the contralateral nostril with your finger and frequently swallow, doing then a therapeutic action on thesinusitis cases, and also a gentle physiotherapy of the eustachian tube, that regains elasticity. Specialties: it is a very well tolerated cure also by children, even very young.
Nasal irrigation
Treatable diseases: rhinitis. Methodology: The mechanical action is clear: with irrigation cleans and cleanses the mucous from secretions and crusts, preparing it to receive the inhalation particles of the other inhalation applications. It is therefore advisable, unless your doctor does not give different provisions, that irrigation, as well as micronized shower, always precedes the treatments of inhalation cycle and the insuffTations. Execution technique: The head should be tilted and rotated, making sure that the ear is always higher than the nose to avoid that water, through the eustachian tube, penetrates the middle ear: The oil will be resting on the upper nostril, so that the flow of thermal water at low pressure flows through the other nostril while the patient breathes normally with his mouth open. This operation will be repeated at short intervals for each nasal passage
Insufflation entotympanic Politzer Crenotherapic
Both are a modified application of humages that takes advantage of the benefit of the inhalation of dry gas to penetrate into the interior of the middle tympanic box. The first, performed by a doctor, consists in introducing a tiny probe to the orifice of the Eustachian tube and blow, with regulated pressure, gas in the middle ear cavity. The gas arrival is perceived by the patient and the physician through an instrument placed on his ear, like a hiss. The second, Politzer Crenotherapic less invasive, is used primarily in pediatric patients since is more acceptable by children
