Blepharoplasty is more commonly known as cosmetic eyelid surgery. This practice allows you to correct drooping eyelids that make the eye look tired and aged, giving it light, freshness and rejuvenation, without using cuts or stitches.
A beam of light is directed at the eyelid through a laser. This, producing tiny holes in the skin, causes it to shrink, reducing the surface of excess skin. The production of new subcutaneous collagen is also stimulated, so as to restore firmness and elasticity. Laser blepharoplasty is less invasive and expensive than surgery. It does not require total anaesthesia, or hospitalization.
